Businesses in Guernsey will get guidance on delivering against their organisational goals through the GTA University Centre’s new head of customer engagement.

Trish Ramsey has joined the GTA after a long career in marketing, management, HR and training. Her focus will be on delivering the GTA’s strategic objectives and understanding the business community’s learning and development needs.

"I am passionate about learning and development and my personal ethos and values align to those of the GTA. I believe that the GTA has an exceptional offering which aims to meet the needs of islanders and the wider business community," said Mrs Ramsey.

"My ambition is to make a difference through listening to our customers, brings freshness to our approach, commerciality to our thinking and supporting the board to deliver our strategic aims and objectives. I’m looking forward to getting out into the business community and really understanding what services they need from the GTA."

Mrs Ramsey, who is married with three grown-up children, began her career in sales management with Avon Cosmetics. She then moved to field marketing company, CPM International, where she worked in client management and was appointed to the board in a strategic HR development role.

While in Guernsey, Mrs Ramsey has worked mainly as a leadership coach and trainer, providing organisational development solutions for a mix of clients across all sectors.

"Trish has worked for a number of years in helping organisations to improve performance and get the most out of their staff. Not only will her wealth of experience help us at the GTA, by providing leadership direction and support to our programme managers, but she will also make a huge difference for the wider business community. I am very excited to have Trish on board," said Simon Le Tocq, chief executive of the GTA.
