Vistra Fund Services has appointed Martin De La Mare as Head of Operations and Craig Shorto as Fund Accounts Manager.

ACCA Fellow Mr De La Mare joined the business last year as Financial Reporting Manager. He has 19 years’ experience in the financial services sector in Guernsey and elsewhere including Australia where he spent more than a year working for a professional services firm. He has a first class honours degree in Applied Accounting and specialises in dealing with alternative asset classes.

In his new role he is responsible for overseeing Vistra’s valuations, depository, share registry and accounting teams as well as playing a part in the further development of the business.

He is much travelled and another of his passions is fitness – he attends the gym frequently.

Mr Shorto was the youngest candidate in the Channel Islands to qualify for membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in March 2012. His experience includes auditing clients across a number of sectors in the finance industry and auditing and preparing accounts for companies including London-listed entities. Prior to joining Vistra he was an assistant manager at BDO Limited.

He is a keen golfer and football coach for Vale Rec Seniors.

Vistra Fund Services Managing Director Patricia White said: “Both Martin and Craig have proven depth of experience and have demonstrated excellence in their careers to date. We are sure they will be an asset to Vistra as we continue to grow our fund services business in Guernsey."
