We are looking for a compliance professional to join our team in Jersey on a permanent basis as AML Manager.

The AML Manager in the Channel Islands will work closely with the Head of Compliance to assist in managing and supporting the Compliance / AML Team to ensure the team are providing the necessary support to the business units, with the aim of ensuring full compliance with the respective legislative and regulatory frameworks, whilst maximising efficiency and developing new processes.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships (both internal and external) to promote understanding and compliance with local regulatory legislation
- Understand, produce, monitor and update firm policies and procedures to comply with KPMG Global Risk Management policies and local legislation
- Help ensure the Business Risk Assessments are up to date
- Monitor and maintain the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme
- Assist the jurisdictional MLROs with regulatory requests
- Produce MLCO board reports and regulatory reporting
- Assist in the delivery of AML training for employees
- Support the jurisdictional MLROs and liaise with regulators as and when required
- Assist the Head of Compliance in the day-to-day running of the department
- Act as performance manager to team members
- Act as liaison to the Client Onboarding Team to help ensure efficient, quality service to the business units is continually provided.
- Play a key role in the roll out and implementation of new AML systems and technologies.
To ensure the smooth running of the Compliance / AML Team, knowledge of local AML/TF rules, including sanctions, is essential. Critical to success in this role is the ability to support and coach junior team members and effective co-ordination of resource. Furthermore, developing close working relationships and engaging in regular communication with the Head of Compliance, Head of Risk, jurisdictional MLROs, functional managers and directors across the Crown Dependencies is vital.
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of AML/ compliance requirements in the Channel Islands finance sector
- Knowledge of Isle of Man AML/compliance requirements is preferable but not essential
- Experience in an administrative environment involving a number of varied tasks and a focus on attention to detail would be a distinct benefit
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal stakeholders
- Maintain high levels of drive and enthusiasm through a positive attitude to assist team members in - identifying solutions and developing efficiencies
- Ability to use initiative, prioritise workloads and be flexible to changing business and department needs
- Be comfortable working under pressure and to meet deadlines without compromising on quality
- Be able to manage significant changes in process through the introduction of new technology and systems
Qualifications and technical requirements
- Degree preferable but not essential
- The ICA International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering or the ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance is desirable
- 3 – 5 years relevant work experience
- Prior experience in a managerial role
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
