Purpose of
the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Compliance Manager
with a variety of legal and compliance activities. The role will involve
supporting a diverse range of issues that require a pragmatic and communicative
problem solver who can think laterally.
Responsibilities
of the job holder:
•
To provide assistance in multiple areas, including but not limited
to:
·
Legal and
regulatory matters
·
Review as
appropriate compliance related agreements and documentation.
•
To review internal processes and procedures and make
recommendations for improvement
•
To assist with providing compliance related training to colleagues,
as and when required;
•
To provide support with drafting customer responses that are aligned
to our regulations;
•
To attend meetings and provide input on assigned projects;
•
To continuously develop and maintain the legal and regulatory
requirements needed to perform the role.
•
To provide support to the Goldmoney teams with all compliance related
issues and queries
•
To assist with general compliance tickets and to escalate critical
matters to the Compliance Manager;
•
Subscribe to the various sanctions lists
(i.e.OPSI)) and alongside Jersey sanction notifications, check the GWL database
on an arising basis to ensure no name matches. Should there be any “hits” these
should be escalated to Compliance Management.
•
To maintain the various compliance registers.
•
To carry out ad-hoc monthly “spot check” monitoring of customer holdings,
•
To provide support with annual reviews of higher risk holdings;
•
To assist with all compliance project work as and when
required;
•
To continuously develop knowledge of all money laundering,
terrorist financing, sanctions, and general compliance updates applicable to
Goldmoney;
•
To provide support with ensuring that all compliance policies,
manuals and procedures and are adhered to;
•
To liaise as and when required with external compliance training providers
to ensure that the knowledge base of all Goldmoney staff on legal and
regulatory matters is kept up to date.

Education
and Experience
•
General understanding of local law and regulation;
•
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a financial services
business;
•
A relevant professional qualification completed or started.
•
Excellent written communication skills including report and
policy/procedure writing;
•
Excellent Microsoft word and excel skills.
