Working Relationships
You will be working alongside the Head of Internal Audit (HIA), based in Jersey and will be interacting with employees at all levels across the organisation. You will also be expected to have close working relationships with other assurance functions e.g. Compliance and Risk.

Overall Purpose
Internal audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organisation’s operations. It helps the organisation accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.  

Principle Elements & Accountabilities
You will be expected to plan and execute audits in line with the annual audit plan. You will also be expected to prepare the relevant audit reports, as well as assisting the HIA in the preparation of Committee reports. You may also be required to provide ad hoc advice and consultancy on controls, as well as undertaking investigations in the event of control breakdowns. The role will require some travel. 

Qualifications and Experience
Experience of financial services and an internal audit qualification are highly desirable and a knowledge of IT or CAATs would also be useful, but not essential.

You will have knowledge of all aspects of the internal audit cycle and a broad understanding of risks and controls.

You will be an effective problem solver, who has an inquisitive mind, excellent communication skills and who is comfortable dealing with all levels of management.
