The Commercial Team at Ports of Jersey ("PoJ") are responsible for managing and leading on the Company’s commercial activity encompassing aeronautical/non-aeronautical and maritime/non-maritime activities such as concessions, use of real estate and route development.
The team are looking for a Commercial Business Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract to develop and deliver new car parking products and e-commerce services from concept to BaU.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive the creation of our e-commerce car parking business.
Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to inform decision-making.
Establish and nurture the relationship with our key e-commerce platform and technology partners.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate our e-commerce solution and optimise its performance.
Monitor and analyse key performance metrics such as sales, conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
Implement strategies to optimise website usability and customer journey.
Continuously assess and improve online merchandising strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns.
Work closely with the Commercial Business Manager's and senior management team to prioritise and launch new e-commerce initiatives.
Manage the product catalogue, including product listings, descriptions, and attributes.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM), email marketing, and social media advertising.
Leverage data-driven insights to personalise marketing efforts and enhance customer engagement.
Coordinate promotional activities, discounts, and loyalty programs to drive customer acquisition and retention.
Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards in all aspects of online retail operations.
Identification and delivery of opportunities to grow commercial income.
Analyse financial data and reports to gain insights in to how to improve performance and maximise growth, presenting these to the wider organisation including the executive team and external stakeholders.
Preparation of weekly and monthly commercial reports.
Support in the development and delivery of the Commercial Strategy and the Strategic Business Plan (SBP).
Responsible for ensuring the commercial project delivery outcomes are met within time frames and SBP and commercial objectives.
Work closely with the Project Management Office to manage the E-commerce project as required.
