The Commercial Team at Ports of Jersey ("PoJ") are responsible for managing and leading on the Company’s commercial activity encompassing aeronautical/non-aeronautical and maritime/non-maritime activities such as retail and food and beverage, use of real estate and route development.
The team are looking for a Commercial Business Manager responsible for day to day management of Real Estate and E-commerce activities.
The role will encompass developing and delivering new products and services from concept to BaU. The Commercial Business Manager will have the responsibility to drive growth in revenue across all areas, in line with the PoJ's strategic business plan.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out regular performance reviews with business partners and ensure compliance with all service and regulatory requirements.
Identification and delivery of opportunities to grow commercial income.
To develop and implement successful commercial plans and promotional programmes to ensure maximum performance, annual sales growth and increased revenues to PoJ.
Analyse financial data and reports to gain insights in to how to improve performance and maximise growth, presenting these to the wider organisation including the executive team and external stakeholders.
Preparation of weekly and monthly commercial reports.
Support in the development and delivery of the Commercial Strategy and the Strategic Business Plan (SBP).
Act as the conduit between the commercial and operational teams to build commercial thinking into decision-making and to drive improvements in dwell time.
Define operational priorities with internal and external stakeholders and manage the delivery of these goals.
Responsible for ensuring commercial project delivery outcomes are met within time frames and SBP and commercial objectives.
Create loop back mechanisms and measures to gauge success and learnings from projects and initiatives to leverage further value and growth.
Deliver business development projects from conception and through into business -as-usual revenue streams.
Work closely with the Project Management Office to manage Commercial projects as and when they arise.
Support the commercial management team on contracts and operating licenses.
