LOOKING TO TRAIN AS AN ELECTRICIAN?
... BE OUR APPRENTICE

If you're looking to learn a trade, gain sought-after skills and gain an industry-recognised qualification, then our electrical apprenticeship is your opportunity.Whatever your age and whatever your background, this is a great way to combine practical on-the-job training with part-time study at Highlands college while earning a salary.

Over the four-year programme, you'll have a detailed training plan with regular reviews to monitor your progress towards achieving your qualifications. Working alongside our team of electricians, you'll be putting your college studies into practice across a wide range of systems and equipment that we commission, install, maintain and repair across the airport, harbour and marinas. In addition to the core electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical elements, more and more of our equipment has computer-controlled features with technology developing at a rate of knots.

As well as us paying your salary and college fees, you'll have a dedicated mentor to support and guide you along the way and, at the end, a recognised qualification with potential job opportunities. It goes without saying that you'll need to be interested in electrical engineering and have GSCE passes in Maths, Science and English. Here at PoJ, we take pride in what we do, pull together as a team, use our initiative and tackle everything that comes our way with a positive attitude.
