Full Description
If you’re looking for something
that offers variety and new experiences that expand your technical skills to
make your working days more interesting and rewarding, we’ve got the perfect
opportunity. We’re looking for an Electronics Technician to join our 15-strong
systems and technical services team.
It will come as no surprise that
the Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) electronics networks that
enable us to manage and operate the airport and harbours, are both business and
safety critical. There’s a lot of interesting things going on – from the simple
mechanical to complex electronics systems; your solid experience means you may
be familiar with some of them while other specialist systems will be completely
different to what you’ve worked with before.
You don’t need technical qualifications, but if you have them, that’s a
bonus. You’ll be able to develop your
core knowledge and skills within a structured learning and development programme
and a supportive team environment.
Working to exacting regulatory
standards across the CNS infrastructure, including a wide range of diverse and
interesting projects, is part and parcel of the variety that the role
brings. Whether you’re working on your
own, with team colleagues or with specialist contractors, you’ll get stuck in
and take pride in getting the job done to the highest of standards. Using your initiative, making sensible
decisions, finding solutions and having a positive can-do attitude are just as
important as your technical capability.
Working a 37-hour week, Monday to
Friday, you’ll be based at the airport most of time. You’ll also need a full driving licence for
when you’re working at the harbours.
