Established in May 2020, the initial remit of the Jersey Community Foundation (JCF) was to distribute £2 million from the Jersey dormant bank account fund to assist charities supporting the community of Jersey during Covid-19 and its aftermath. The Foundation has now also been appointed to distribute a further £700,000 from the 2019 Lottery proceeds.
Our vision is for the Foundation to grow into becoming a major distributor of charitable funding in the Island playing a vital and influential role in the community.
As a growing organisation we are now looking for an experienced individual to support our grant making programmes and operations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building a new organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting effective community philanthropy in Jersey. Reporting to the CEO, you will ensure that we deliver an accessible and effective grants programme by providing advice, guidance and support to potential grant applicants, assessing grant applications and working with all our stakeholders to monitor and evaluate the impact of our grant making, whilst also supporting the wider operations of the Foundation.
