Islands Insurance is one of the leading insurance brokers in the Channel Islands, serving a wide range of individual and corporate clients. We have over 50,000 customers and more than 140 employees based in offices in Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney. We also hold binding authority with insurers giving us significant underwriting & claims autonomy locally.

Following continued growth and success of the business, we wish to further strengthen our leadership team and have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our business as the Head of Insurance. The role could be based in either our Jersey or Guernsey office.
 

You will be responsible for manging our Underwriting and Claims Teams in Jersey and Guernsey as well as being the relationship manager for broker partners, insurers and claims supply chain partners.

So if you have any or all of the following we want to hear from you :

  • Experience of leading and managing a team in a customer focused and performance driven environment.
  • A track record of successfully delivering goals and objectives through teams.
  • The ability to deliver continuous improvement and pro-actively manage change .
  • Experience of managing supplier relationships.

Whilst not essential it would be ideal if you had a working knowledge of general insurance principles and processes too along with a relevant professional or leadership qualification such as ACII, ILM or CMI.
