Jersey Legal Information Board (JLIB) is an organisation which promotes the free access to law movement. It’s vision is to promote Jersey’s legal system to be recognised as, amongst the best in the world. In a single organisation it links the heads of the judiciary, legal departments and the legal profession to make the law accessible to the public, to promote access to justice, to coordinate Jersey’s justice system, to provide research and development of an integrated legal system, and to support Jersey as a leading business centre. 

The Honorary Role:

• To ensure proper financial reports to the Board, to ensure that the organisation complies with its governing documents, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations. 
• To contribute actively to the board of trustees’ role in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
• To ensure the financial stability of the organisation.
• To protect and manage the property of the charity and to ensure the proper investment of the charity’s funds. 

The Person:     

• An accountant with a professional qualification, an interest in the Law or related experience, strategic vision and independent judgement
