About the role: The purpose of the Human Resources Manager is to contribute to the effective delivery of a pro-active, positive, efficient, and supportive Human Resources Function across Jersey and Guernsey. This is a broad-ranging senior HR role covering business-partnering, employee relations, process and policy matters, data, permanent and operational risk control, and reporting. Responsibilities: Provide HR support and advice to all line managers and employees and assist in the maintenance of good employee relations whilst monitoring the social climate. Deal effectively with any issues of performance, capability, absence, disciplinary and grievance in accordance with best practice and internal and Group procedures. Track employee absence levels using the Bradford Factor methodology and work with line managers to manage sickness absence levels. Be the HR point of contact for the management of all parental leave ensuring it is within policy and meets local legislation. Conduct mid-probation check-ins with both new employees and well as their line manager, ensuring a good employee experience and supporting managers with any concerns. Ensure the completion of the Group Social Campaign. Manage the Group talent program for the local population. Skills, knowledge & expertise: Strong technical knowledge of a wide scope of HR practices. Good understanding - local legislation, regulatory regimes relating to Jersey and Guernsey. 5-7 years experience in a HR role. Minimum CPP-qualified.
