We are seeking a motivated Improver Fabricator/Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced fabricators and fitters to learn and develop their skills in metal fabrication and installation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist experienced fabricators and fitters in various tasks related to metal fabrication and installation projects.
Learn and apply techniques for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components according to specifications.
Support the preparation and setup of work areas, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Follow instructions and guidelines to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve skills through on-the-job training and qualifications.
Ensure that all PoJ Health, Safety and security rules, plus safe systems of work are strictly observed to maintain the wellbeing of themselves, co-workers and the general public.
Maintain documentation relating to equipment maintenance and repair in the form of drawings, technical reports and maintenance records.
Report back on work done, materials used, time taken, further work required and asset condition using the asset management system for both reactive and planned maintenance work.
Maintain a knowledge of current trends in mechanical and aligned technologies to ensure relevant developments are considered when carrying out duties.
