So, as long as you have the core ‘technical’ experience, we’ll provide any specialist training/courses you’ll need to expand your skills and knowledge within our supportive team environment.

We are seeking a motivated Improver Fabricator/Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced fabricators and fitters to learn and develop their skills in metal fabrication and installation processes. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced fabricators and fitters in various tasks related to metal fabrication and installation projects.
• Learn and apply techniques for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components according to specifications.
• Support the preparation and setup of work areas, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Follow instructions and guidelines to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve skills through on-the-job training and qualifications.
• Ensure that all PoJ Health, Safety and security rules, plus safe systems of work are strictly observed to maintain the wellbeing of themselves, co-workers and the general public. 
• Maintain documentation relating to equipment maintenance and repair in the form of drawings, technical reports and maintenance records. 
• Report back on work done, materials used, time taken, further work required and asset condition using the asset management system for both reactive and planned maintenance work. 
• Maintain a knowledge of current trends in mechanical and aligned technologies to ensure relevant developments are considered when carrying out duties.
