As a Developer, you will carry out detailed data processing tasks on customer data and develop electronic document designs using in-house specialist software for both ad hoc and contractual jobs. You will manage and deliver bespoke digital development projects for clients, liaising with and supporting existing and new customers in developing the most effective methods of formatting data and returning that data via physical or digital channels in the most effective and secure manner to reduce risks to a minimum.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Document Production
To provide comprehensive technical support for the new range of digital services including but not limited to electronic document design, distribution and archiving, portal configuration, fulfilment activities, physical hybrid mail production and scanning services.
Provide sufficient procedural documentation on technical solutions to allow routine use by other technical developers or qualified suppliers to remove single person dependencies.
Align and optimise processes to work with our production partners to ensure efficient end to job processing, tracking and billing.Security & Risk Management
Maintain records on customer data, data formats, production processes, schedules and rates.
Comply with the requirements of the Risk Management Policy, a copy of which is available on the company intranet.
Participate in regular security awareness training, and be aware at all times of the confidential nature of the data that is being managed.General Requirements
Participate in regular performance and development reviews with the Data Services Manager.
Maintain client relationships and in-depth job knowledge to complete tasks in an efficient and professional manner.
Post-holders will be expected to undertake reasonable requests from managers in line with the range and scope of the post.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
This role would suit an individual with a passion for all things digital looking to embark on or continue their career in development.
Candidates would ideally possess the following;
A technical background with software development or developer experience
Good verbal communication skills
Flexibility to work in an environment of continuous change/ambiguity, including priority changes
Organisation skills, good time management, an investigative nature and logical approach to problem-solving
Effective time management, organisation skills and keen attention to detail
Knowledge of appropriate collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana & Slack
High attention to detail
Be ready to work on big projects such as configuring a new document portal
An understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & Python (not all mandatory, but desirable)
