Full Description

As the Junior Receptionist at BCR Law, you will assist with Reception duties under the direction of the Receptionist and provide general administrative support to other members of staff, as and when required. Please note that five years' residency in Jersey is required to apply for this role.

MAIN DUTIES:

• Ensure all hand deliveries are carried out promptly and efficiently;• Assist in the archiving of case files, including movement of file boxes between office locations, maintain and update file archive lists;• Assist with general office administrative tasks when required, i.e. photocopying, filing• Assist in ad hoc tasks, e.g. preparation of conference and seminar packs as required;• Monitoring and maintaining stationery stocks and sourcing and ordering items as required;• Provide assistance to the Receptionist as necessary.

RECEPTION DUTIES:

Provide cover when the Receptionist is absent from the reception desk, to include:
• Acting as first point of contact and assist visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately;• Set up and clear meeting rooms;• Offer refreshments to visitors where appropriate;• Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls whilst providing basic information when needed;• Take and deliver telephone messages accurately and completely.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite• Willing and enthusiastic attitude• Smart appearance• Good communication skills• Ability to multitask and work under pressure• Maintain confidentiality of client matters.
