Title: Marketing Coordinator

Hours:
Part-time (20–30 hours per week), with the option of flexible hours and teleworking.


Job Summary:

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to deliver effective campaigns and generate high-quality leads for our degree programmes, public courses, in company training, e-learning and professional qualifications.


The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the Business School and University Centre’s marketing and business development plans. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining and expanding marketing channels and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have the initiative to manage their workload effectively and work autonomously with a minimum level of supervision. Computer and telephone skills are essential. Design skills or experience, especially with the Adobe suite of products, would be preferable, but training can be provided.

This role requires a minimum of 3-years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a social media plan to drive more visits to the website and course bookings; identify new channels for both the Business School and the University Centre
  • Use a Content Management System to update website course information accurately and check website news and featured items are up to date
  • Coordinate regular blog schedule with degree students, agreeing topics and deadlines with them; once received, proof and post to website and social media.
  • Assist in coordinating various marketing methods, including direct mail, print ads and brochure production.
  • Create and manage scheduling of e-marketing
  • Write news releases
  • Create images for social media
  • Design flyers for print
  • Create and monitor advertising campaigns in social media; report on analytics of campaigns
  • Organise the Degree and Master’s Open Evenings; liaise with partner organisations for marketing materials and logistics.

Skills
Required
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML to help populate CMS course information (training will be given)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare written and electronic documents
  • Ability to communicate orally, both in person and by telephone
  • Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
