Full Description
The Société Jersiaise was founded in 1873 and has 1,500 members
interested in the study of Jersey archaeology, history, natural history, the
ancient language and the conservation of the environment.
We have a new CEO and a five year strategy to
roll out from our Pier Road centre and we are looking for a full time support
to help make this happen.
You will work closely with the CEO to support a range of operational areas
include reception welcome, liaising with members, taking minutes, newsletters
and events, running sales and orders in the bookshop, records, diary
management, budget updates and filing as well as helping across our sub
committees.
You will need proven administrative experience, Microsoft Office, diary
management, a consummate telephone manner, excellent command of verbal and
written English, the adaptability to learn new processes, a proficiency in
office systems and the ability to get the most from our membership database and
other core applications. Above all you need an unflustered approach to all
types of administration and records plus and exceptional flair for sorting and
improving systems and keeping them up to date. You will need to demonstrate an
understanding of and commitment to the Société’s mission and values as well as a
warm and supportive approach to customer service.
