The National Trust for Jersey has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Management team at the Trust as a Properties Manager. The post holder will have overall responsibility for the repair, maintenance and conservation of the Trust’s historic building portfolio, encompassing residential and commercial properties, museums, monuments and stone tents. The role will lead on planning, delivery and review of the Trust’s repair and capital refurbishment programmes, and ensuring that the Trust’s properties are managed in accordance with statutory requirements. The post holder will also contribute towards delivering the objectives of the Trust’s Business Plan. You will need to have 5 years residency in Jersey, have property management experience including residential lettings, maintenance schedules and refurbishment projects. You will also need an understanding of the principles of historic building conservation with a careful and sensitive approach to working within a range of different historically and architecturally important buildings. Proven experience in direct management/supervision of staff and the ability to manage and motivate external contractors to deliver successful schemes will also be required. The role is full time, 35 hours per week but may occasionally require “out-of-hours” work to accommodate operational requirements.
