Purpose of Role To
ensure SGHBCI meets all its JFSC and GFSC reporting obligations and provide
information to SGKH London to assist SG’s regulatory reporting to the Autorité
de Controle Prudentiel (ACP)
Daily regulatory administration
Daily regulatory production and monitoring of large exposures & LCR (Liquidity Covergae Ratio)
Production of daily, monthly and quarterly Channel Islands regulatory returns via new AgileREPORTER tool by Vermeg including :
Daily large exposures
Daily LCR Liquidity
Bank of England MA1 returns
Quarterly JFSC Basel III & GFSC Basel II reporting
Responsibility for the review and control of regulatory static data in Olympic
Ownership of regulatory procedures
Liaison with the financial control function
Liaison with the Risk function
Contribution to internal regulatory projects
Reduction of regulatory key-person operational risk
Key Responsibilities
Responsible
for the accurate production and timely submission of all JFSC and GFSC
regulatory returns for the Bank
Daily
monitoring of the Bank’s business in relation to regulatory limits, including
capital adequacy, large exposures, liquidity and large depositors
Responsible
for ensuring JFSC and GFSC reporting and monitoring compliance, liaison with
regulators, production of related management information and responding to
change
Responsible
for monthly reporting to SG Kleinwort Hambros group to assist with reporting to
SG Paris
Responsible
for advising management on the impact of compliance with JFSC and GFSC
regulations on existing or proposed business
Liasing
with Banking Operations, MKS and Risk to ensure accurate recording and coding
of data for Financial Control
Working
with IT and software suppliers to provide systems to enable the above
regulatory requirements to be met; including:
Operational
sponsor for the automation of Channel Islands regulatory returns, including
automation to accommodate migration from the Basel II to the Basel III regulatory
regime
Monitoring
regulatory developments and maintaining & developing regulatory knowledge
to ensure that:
Emerging and existing issues are identified, communicated and escalated within the regulatory function and across the business, as appropriate: and
Regulatory policies, procedures and automations are aligned with all requisite regulatory changes.
Contribution
to internal regulatory projects, including the annual refresh of liquidity
behavioural adjustment data, periodic regulatory stress testing, new product
developments and automation of Channel Islands regulatory returns
Liaison
with internal and external audit, as required
Attendance
at internal committee meetings, as required
Responsible
for the submission of concession limit application forms
Manage
regulatory accountant
Qualifications Required Necessary
Qualified accountant with Big 4 audit experience
Advanced Excel skills, with experience of working reliably with large Excel data sets, including manipulation of data using complex Excel formulae
Advanced Olympic or equivalent banking systems and the relationship of this data and architecture to regulatory returns
Legal and regulatory comprehension and interpretation skills
Desirable
Visual Basic programming skills
5 years recent regulatory experience, including regulatory audit experience
