We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide expertise in carrying out commercial and cost management activities to support the project teams.
The Infrastructure and Development Performance department are responsible for planning and delivering capital projects for Ports of Jersey across the Harbour and Airport
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the procurement team taking direct responsibility for the cost estimating aspect of contracts, attending contract negotiation meetings, carrying out financial evaluations.
Carrying out commercial activities during project delivery: contractor onboarding, drafting contract communication, financial evaluation of quotations and applications for payment, agreeing final accounts.
Administration and management of risk reporting and controls on projects.
Managing and monitoring project governance processes ensuring appropriate budget allowances are in place.
Providing technical and contractual guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure commercial / contractual arrangements comply with all applicable legislative, regulatory and corporate standards.
Supporting development of the long-term capital forecast.
Developing cost estimations for project budgets directly supporting capital planning process.
Carrying out supply chain performance review process ensuring records are kept for future evaluations.
Providing support to development of processes and procedures, taking active role in delivering improvement initiatives within the commercial function.
Support the preparation of the commercial reporting.
