SOFTWARE DEVELOPER   

We are recruiting for a Software Developer.  

Have you expertise in infrastructure and applications which are required to join our client and take responsibility for the strategy, delivery and availability of both the infrastructure which supports the company's platforms as well as the applications which deliver services which will include all on premise and cloud-based infrastructure platforms : Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 both physical and virtual.  

Have you experience in developing business opportunities?

MAIN PURPOSE
 

Cascade is looking for someone who is comfortable working in a small team as well as independently, and who will be able to contribute from day one. The successful applicant will have a high level of initiative, and a good working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS. It is expected they also need to have good graphic design skills and be able to confidently deal with the investor at all levels and be able to design to a brief.  

The Software Developer selected will have direct control of all technical operations in accordance with the strategy and business plans agreed by the Board to ensure that technical goals are met.
   

ACCOUNTABILITIES


1.             
Contribute to the development of the company's corporate strategy and lead strategy development in all  technical operations to ensure that the company achieves its short and long term objectives.

2.              Assist to develop and implement all necessary Policies and Procedures to facilitate management control and to ensure that all internal operations achieve their business objectives.
3.              Assist with the development and control all operational budgets to ensure that the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters and to maintain the financial strength of the company.
4.              Assist to develop and maintain all necessary systems and procedures to ensure that company meet agreed operational standards.
5.              Assist to regularly review technical operations to ensure that these meet the required standards and recommend changes where necessary.
6.              Assist with the development and maintenance of the organisation's structure and processes and provide for effective management succession for all internal operations.
7.              Maintain an effective working relationship with all other employees consultants and directors to ensure that there is effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.
8.              Act as the company's main adviser on all issues relating to software related matters and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position.

This really is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.  The ideal candidate must have at least ten years' experience working in a senior technical role with at least five years' experience leading infrastructure delivery and be professionally qualified with comprehensive technical skills and a working knowledge of Cisco, Citrix, HP and Microsoft technologies.
 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

i.              Demonstrable commercial / financial experience, preferably in a family focused SME.
ii.             A good all-rounder who knows how to operate a business from start to finish.
iii.            Willing to continuously develop and learn.
iv.            Qualified to work in Jersey - Entitled or Registered.
