We currently have a Jersey based vacancy for an System Administrator (Linux) within our Network Team.
The person appointed will Operate and maintain the physical and virtual Linux IT estate under the management of JT, meeting agreed JT security standards, service performance levels and capacity requirements. In addition for new solutions candidates will be expected to participate in the implementation of the technical design and on-boarding into operation & maintenance and to JT security standards.Candidates are expected to have thorough experience administering IT systems with an advanced understanding of Linux operating systems and a good understanding of Windows operating systems and advanced understanding of associated open source monitoring, management, deployment and reporting tools.
Advanced understanding of ISP services / protocols /network concepts (incl IP, TCP, DNS, Mail, HTTP(s), routing, switching concepts, load balancers, layer 7 firewalls etc) is required.
Good Knowledge and experience with virtualisation and public/private cloud technologies (e.g. Openstack, KVM, VMware, Amazon AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean, etc.). 
Candidates should have technical qualifications Specific examples are; Certified RED Hat Administrator, LPIC, Cisco, CCNA.To apply please click here
