Jersey Hospice Care is a dynamic, forward thinking organisation with a multi professional workforce delivering Specialist Palliative Care services across the island of Jersey. Jersey Hospice Care has been caring for people with life limiting conditions for over 30 years and provides care at the hospice, home or in hospital. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, confident and motivated Registered Nurse Clinical to work with us as part of our 24/7 Specialist Palliative Care Team. The role involves responsible for the operational management of the Specialist Palliative Care Team. Whist the post holder will not carry a caseload, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) experience and skills are required to cover on call where necessary to support the team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with both primary and secondary care teams across the island providing support and advice to patients and carers with specialist palliative care needs as well as lead the team and drive forward new initiatives within the different care settings. As part of the senior clinical team, this role has the added benefit of being involved in the strategic planning of services going forward. You will be educated to degree level with at least three years experience working at CNS level in a palliative care setting. You will have excellent communication skills with a proven interest in teaching and relevant experience in leading and managing a team within a health care organisation.
