A total of 130 employees have left the States Infrastructure Department in the last seven years, 74 of which have been through redundancies.
Infrastructure Minister Eddie Noel said: “These figures are about what we have expected, but you have to take into account that the vast majority of the redundancies have been voluntary and not compulsory. The department is continuing to be streamlined.”
Since the start of this year 95 employees have left the parks, gardening and cleaning departments, with 74 through redundancy, three due to retirement, two for family reasons, three because of ill health and the others through a variety of different reasons.
Budget savings are estimated to be above £800,000 per year.
