A 23-year-old man has denied committing a serious attack on another man in Minden Place last year.
Magno Raimundo Gaspar Reis appeared before the Deputy Bailiff in the Royal Court on Friday.
He entered a not guilty plea to the single charge of grave and criminal assault on another man on 27 September 2021.
Mr Reis was remanded on conditional bail until 27 April, when a pre-trial hearing will take place.
A four-day jury trial is scheduled to begin on 3 October.
