A man accused of indecently assaulting an 11-year-old girl has been acquitted at the end of a four-day trial.
Houcine Bouazdia (35) was found not guilty of indecently assaulting the girl at premises in St Helier back in January.
The jury heard extracts of a mobile phone recording taken when members of the victim’s family confronted Bouazdia and also viewed edited footage of the recorded police interview held with the young girl on 16th January, and of subsequent interviews with her.
But after four days of evidence earlier this month, the jury found that the case against the defendant was not proven.
