A "large amount" of gym equipment from Fort Regent has been donated to the Fire Service.
The gear donated by Active – which runs government sports facilities – will go straight into Jersey Fire and Rescue's in-house gym, which operates on a very small budget.
Matthew Roberts, from Jersey Fire and Rescue, said: "I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for kindly gifting the items of gym equipment to the Fire Service from Fort Regent.
"We unfortunately operate on a very small budget each year but the items you have given us are an enormous contribution.
"Everyone here at the Fire Service is extremely grateful, so thank you again."
Since the closure of the Fort, some pieces of equipment have been given a home in Springfield, while others were sent to auction.
