More than 150 regions across England will be turning amber or red from Saturday - including all of London and all main university towns.
Just 23 English regions - dropping from 182 - will remain green under the changes due to come into force at 00:00 on Saturday (17 October). 135 areas in England will turn amber and 158 red.
Under the changes, France and Ireland will no longer have any green regions, both entirely amber and red.
Wales will have just one green region.
In Scotland, six regions will remain green, while nine will be amber and 17 will be red.
Northern Ireland will be entirely classified as red, as will Portugal.
Guernsey and Madeira, however, will remain green.
The changes mean that the majority of arrivals into Jersey will have to quarantine immediately - either for a minimum of five days (amber) or for a full two weeks (red).
