A local café is testing the limits of food lovers with an enormous Full English breakfast challenge, featuring a whopping 37 items…

The Parade-based Butterfly Café is inviting diners to take on this colossal meal every Sunday morning from 11 February — where participants have to finish the massive platter of breakfast foods in less than 45 minutes to be in with a chance of winning it for free.

The feast includes all the essentials, like baked beans, toast, bacon, sausages, black pudding, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, and hash browns.

But diners need to be hungry – as the plate includes six of each breakfast item.

And there's an extra treat for those who conquer the challenge in 30 minutes or less – not only will they get the meal for free, they will also receive a certificate and a coveted place in the Butterfly Café's 'Hall of Fame'.

However, if they can't finish within the time limit, they'll have to pay £28 for the meal.

The café announced there will be breakfast challenges from 9:00 to 12:00 starting on February 11 on social media earlier this week — sparking hundreds of comments from eager participants.

It's one of several new initiatives to have come from the survivor-supporting café recently.

It also hosted a 'Karen’s Diner Experience', inspired by a restaurant chain known for its intentionally rude servers. This concept plays on the internet trend of labelling difficult customers as 'Karen.'

The café also introduced a 'pay it forward' scheme where customers can buy items from the menu and leave a receipt for someone in need to pick up and enjoy a free meal or drink.
