Armed police called to guest house after knife threats by woman

Wednesday 23 December 2015

Armed officers, dog handlers and trained negotiators were called out to a two-and-half hour operation early this morning after a woman at a guest house armed with knives started making threats.

No-one was hurt, and a 43-year-old woman was arrested and is now in police custody.

Officers were called to the Havelock Guest House in Havre des Pas at around 2.30 am this morning after getting calls about threatening behaviour.

The woman was arrested just before 5 am, and a search of her room revealed three large kitchen knives.

Police say that the woman was arrested on suspicion of conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace, and that their investigation is continuing.
