Around 40 schoolchildren took part in a park fight said to have led to a member of the public being assaulted and one boy to leave the scene with a "sizeable amount of blood" on his shirt, Police said.
They said the mass brawl happened at Howard Davis Park around 16:05 last Friday 14 June, and was filmed on a number of the children's mobile phones and circulated on Snapchat.
"During this incident, one of the 15 year old boys was assaulted and a member of the public who intervened was also assaulted.
"No-one required any medical treatment. It was also reported that one of the boys was seen leaving with a sizable amount of blood on the back of his white school shirt," the Force reported.
They are now urging parents to check their children's phones for footage of the fight, and to get in touch if they find any.
Anyone who saw what happened or has more information is asked to call 612612 or make an anonymous report via the Crimestoppers' website.
