A St. Ouen restaurant is inviting islanders to join the official launch of ‘Sunset Supper’ – an evening to celebrate the beauty of Jersey's coastline, eat some delicious food and take action to protect our oceans.

CCA Galleries International presents Entre Nous – an exhibition of new artwork by sculptor Nicole Farhi and Turner Prize nominees Jane and Louise Wilson.
Jane and Louise Wilson have been working as an artist duo in collaboration for over two decades. Since 1990, they have created works to great acclaim both on a national and international level creating a reputation as artists working with photography and the moving image. In 1999 they were nominated for The Turner Prize for their multi-screen installation 'Gamma'.
Nicole Farhi first gained public recognition in the 1980’s as a fashion designer. She created her eponymous label in 1982 and went on to win the British Fashion Award for Best Contemporary Designer 3 years running. Now Farhi is known for her highly sought after and intrinsically unique sculptural works.
The Entre Nous exhibition runs from 26 May until 15 June 2023 at CCA Galleries. The gallery is open Monday-Friday, 12:00-18:00.
The work in Will Lakeman's 'Playtime' exhibition recreates the strange hold that childhood spaces have on our adult memories, all centred around the Jersey childhood mecca of old Fort Regent.
It runs for free until until Sunday 2 July at ArtHouse Jersey's Capital House in St Helier.

To celebrate World Oceans Month, islanders are invited to Sands on Friday 2 June for an evening of environmentally friendly fun.
In support of Ocean Culture Life, this brand-new community event aims to celebrate the beauty of our oceans as well as taking action to protect them.
The evening starts at 17:00 with a coastal cleanup, before a delicious taco and small-plate feast provided by Sands.
There will be live talks by local Jersey ocean advocates and an illuminated walk after sunset to finish the event at 23:00, for which participants are asked to bring their own torches.

Almost 140 years after its premiere at the Savoy Theatre in January 1884, Gilbert & Sullivan’s operetta 'Princess Ida' will finally be performed in Jersey.
The comic opera, with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by WS Gilbert, revolves around grumpy old men, gender rivalry and a ridiculous marriage proposal.
According to producer Simon Thomas, this is a vibrant and humorous show which “has never been out of the standard repertory of Gilbert & Sullivan since its premiere”.
Princess Ida opens at The Great Hall, Highlands College, on Tuesday 23 May and runs until Saturday 27 May. Doors open at 19:00 each evening.

From Monday 29 May, a vibrant exhibition will open at The Space Gallery in Pitt Street, St Helier.
Local artist Jane De La Haye’s colourful and abstract pieces will be on display between 10:30 and 13:00, and present Jersey’s scenery and landmarks in a distorted fashion.
The exhibition is free entry and will run for a month.
Sunset Sessions
Tickets are still on sale for Jersey Heritage’s ‘Sunset Sessions’, taking place once a month throughout June, July and August.
Set in the walls of the historic Mont Orgueil Castle, Gorey, enjoy relaxed DJ sets whilst watching a stunning sunset.

The Jersey Arts Centre hosts Dr Adam Perchard’s brand-new show ‘Interview with the Vamp’.
The international cabaret star has teamed up with Olivier Award-winning composer and pianist Richard Thomas for a riotous evening of original music and rampant repartee.
This one-off performance starts at 20:00 on Friday 2 June.

Next week, an event dedicated to empowering women’s health and womanhood education comes to Jersey. Led by leading experts, the schedule includes an array of activities that include an energising workout, a health workshop and meditation.
A nutritious lunch will be provided by The Hungry Gal, and those joining the session are asked to bring their own towels, yoga mats and their gorgeous selves!

This Saturday 3 June at 20:00, you can join others at The Best Western Royal Hotel, St Helier, to let your hair down and have a boogie!
DJ Rex will handle the music, and those attending are encouraged to wear fancy dress (though it is optional). On the night there will be a raffle and a prize for the best outfit, with all proceeds going towards helping physically disabled islanders.
