Here's this week's offering...
This Saturday, music lovers are invited to join together in celebration of vinyl culture and Record Store Day through a line-up of events activities, including vinyl sharing, pop-up vinyl sales, live performances, and DJ sets, across venues like a coffee shop, music store, and bar.
And while we're on the theme of spinning decks... Splash Sunday has now returned to the Watersplash.
The musical afternoon-to-evening events will be taking place very sunny Sunday throughout the summer season until October, featuring a line-up of talented DJs.
Local artists are being sought to join a public art project centred around the theme of water at the town marina to "breathe new life" into the area.
The public art display will spread across several arches at Elizabeth Marina, with six artists allocated a triptych of three arches.
ArtHouse is calling for creatives from the Channel Islands, the UK, and France to participate and create water-themed designs with the strapline of ‘Water water everywhere’.
ArtHouse Jersey said that each artist will be assigned a community group to work with over two sessions where they will guide a session exploring the theme, encouraging participants to create their own work that will be used as part of the inspiration.
Interested artists can find more details on the ArtHouse Jersey website and should submit their expression of interest to amy@arts.je by 6 May.
A guided forest therapy walk will take place on Earth Day this Monday at Val de la Mare, offering participants a chance to connect with nature, forage for herbs, and engage in mindfulness activities.
It is presented as part of 'The Land and Us/La Tèrre et Nous' exhibition and project of newly commissioned artworks at Capital House gallery, which explores the island's past, present and future habitation of the land which was born out of a need to reconnect and prioritise Jersey’s precious ecosystem.
Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
The event will be held on Monday 22 April from 10:00 to 12:30 and participants can meet at Val de la Mare Arboretum (top car park).

Three artists whose very different work is linked by the theme of wellbeing are sharing an exhibition space at Grève de Lecq Barracks over the last weekend in April.
The format offers Kelly Eastwood, Kirstie Fulton and Sam Greenwood the chance both to showcase their work and to discuss it with visitors to the show.
At first sight, the combination of surreal illustrations, collage and apparently spontaneous creation might seem to have little in common, but the exhibition’s title, Embrace, points to a shared preoccupation with the capacity of art to connect with ideas of wellbeing.
Freelance artist and illustrator Ms Eastwood, who tutors creative sessions in the community, describes her style as contemporary surrealism and explains that she enjoys merging the real with the obscure. “My body of work aims to capture the therapeutic impact of art making, using automatism as a vehicle to delve into the subconscious,” she said. “This aligns with my current study to become a therapeutic art practitioner with Kairos Arts, and as part of the learning, there is an emphasis on self-discovery via the arts.”
Ms Fulton is a collage artist with an MA in graphic design and a BA in textile design. She is passionate about the environment and her work for the pop-up will feature illustrations of animals.
“Inspired by nature, I collage illustrations, starting out with Jersey wildlife and now featuring creatures from all around the globe.
“Animal collages are my passion and I am excited to showcase my newest work. I hope to inspire people to get creative by what they see in their environment,” she said. The third artist, Mr Greenwood weaves layers to create striking pieces which are open to any interpretation.
For this exhibition, he says he plans to explore the theme of space. “I have fallen into art as a process of quieting my thoughts, where the world can be a busy bustle and senses can be fried. “I can always pore hours away, swirling loops and lines without having to think about my next move. It helps me unpack my day, and leave behind snaps of the feelings I was having at that time,” he said.
The ArtHouse Jersey pop-up takes place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April between 10:00 and 17:00.

The Parish of St Helier will host Tea Dances at the Town Hall, providing senior citizens with an opportunity to socialise and enjoy dancing and refreshments on the last Wednesday of the month from April until November.
Tickets for Wednesday's event are free and available from the Customer Services Department at the Town Hall.
The Constable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft, said: "We are delighted to be able to bring the Tea Dances back to the Town Hall.
"They were a very popular event and give senior citizens the opportunity to socialise and enjoy doing something different.
"We hope that these events become a popular addition to their calendars."
An exhibition at Grève de Lecq Barracks this weekend will showcase artwork created by Jersey students as part of a collaboration between artists and educators.
The art show is the result of work created by Jersey’s students who have participated in the Making Art in Partnership with Schools project, which was delivered in partnership between ArtHouse Jersey and the Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills. The project is now in its third year and has reached over a thousand students.
Education Officer Anna Shipley said: "Nurturing the development of young people from primary school level has a long term impact on the value and importance we place on art in society and on developing a happy, healthy and culturally engaged island community and it is our hope that MAPS is a format that remains successfully in place for many years to come.”
