‘Seaside Shenanigans’ was a huge hit on Saturday as a giant map of Jersey had the crowds flocking.
The map, created by Ian Rolls, on the sands near the Lido at Havre Des Pas, took two hours to create and was part of the ‘Seaside Shenanigans’ fun day, organised by Skipton Open Studios.
Tom Dingle of Jersey Arts Trust said the map was an innovative way for people to get involved in the arts scene in the Island.
Mr Dingle said: “It is a brilliant piece of artwork by Ian and everyone who has come down has mapped out where they live in the sand. We have had lots of other events as well and a fantastic time has been had by all.”
The fun day was finished with a filming in the Lido of a silent movie 'Rueb’s Little Girl' - a short film depicting Jersey life from 1913.
Mr Dingle said: “We have over 100 guests coming for the movie and Eddie Bailhache has provided a terrific soundtrack for it.”
