A 63-year-old man was arrested after a white BMW collided with another car at the Waterfront roundabout and failed to stop yesterday evening.

No one was injured during the incident, which occurred around 19:20 and is being treated by Police as a ‘hit and run’.

The BMW was then reported to have been driven “erratically” in the filter in turn section by the Kiosk, before continuing up Beaumont Hill with a punctured tyre.

The driver, a 63-year-old man, was later arrested near Jacksons Car Sales. He has now been released on Police bail.
