Toddlers and some of the Island's senior citizens have been getting together to bridge the generation gap.
The youngsters from La Petite Ecole Nursery joined Islanders at L’Hermitage Care Home for some sing-a-long sessions, colouring and activities to entertain both the young and old.
Generation Now aims to bridge the gap between the young and old in Jersey by promoting social interaction, putting people and local organisations in touch with each other.
13-year-old singer songwriter Kacey Hacquoil recently wowed the residents at the home at their celebration of the Queen’s birthday and Tricia Barrett painted faces at the nursery's recent graduation ceremony.
Founder Katie Arden said: "By bringing together the young and old, in safe and enjoyable environments, we can ensure that we provide enrichment for both parties, and hope that we can forge long lasting relationships within the community to ensure that no one is ever forgotten.”
La Petite Ecole's Director Jane Rogers said: "The children thoroughly enjoyed performing the songs and the residents of the care home all appeared happy and grateful. It was an eye opening experience for the children. It was a pleasure.”
The care home and nursery are among the first to become members of Generation Now and there are plans as the membership grows to provide educational exchanges.
