Three Islanders ended up in hospital after a spate of car accidents kept the emergency services busy yesterday.
At around 2.19 pm an elderly man lost control of his Fiat 500 leaving the petrol forecourt at Three Oaks Garage.
He crashed into a granite wall nearby – he was shocked and uninjured, but was taken to hospital for a proper check-up.
Before that, the emergency services had already dealt with an incident at Ruelle des Tours in St Clement, at which a crash involving a motorcycle and a car led to a motorcyclist with minor injuries being taken to hospital.
And finally, a pedestrian was knocked over by a car near the roundabout at the top of Beaumont Hill. The male pedestrian suffered what the Jersey Fire and Rescue Service described as “multiple injuries” and was taken to hospital after being stabilised at the scene.
