She is a Jersey girl and business owner who loves the Island almost as much as she loves yoga. This week we caught up with the self-professed ‘yoga mumma’ to find out what ideas she had for our rock.
In between being a mother, a dog owner and co-founder of Kalimukti Yoga, Calli found time to sit down and explain what five things she would change.
“Wow – five things I’d change about Jersey. Being a Jersey girl, my first thought was, 'Nothing, I love it, Jersey is home for me.' After thinking hard about this question, what would I change?”

We need to get with the times! Pay cards for parking are such a pain! How annoying when you get your space in a busy carpark or you get set up in the perfect spot right beside where you’re headed in the middle of town, then you realise you’re out of pay cards!

A modern parking system like the one at Sand Street and an 'on-the-road' version would be great.
It’s wonderful to see we now have a few direct flight providers coming to and from Jersey. I think there’s an opportunity for more options to be made available, for different destinations and more frequent flights.

As a new mum, direct flights are the perfect way for us to travel as a family with less fuss and time wasted having to change in London.
I know a lot of local people are saying this one – I’d love to see more walking and cycling paths.

As a dog owner and mum that loves walking and being outdoors, it’s great to get on the beach or go exploring the woods, but find myself limited to the front and the railway walk if we need to take the buggy with us. I’ve noticed the new path through St Peter’s Valley coming along - more like this please!
4. Better high street brands
Give us a Zara, a Gap, a Primark! We all max out on shopping and restyling our wardrobe when we travel to cities where we can really SHOP or we decide it’s easier to stick with shopping online, even when we end up sending half of it back!

There’s a lack of choice locally, bring some decent high street brands to St Helier if you really want to see us shopping in town again!
I’d like to have more options for going out to lunch with my family where my pooch can join us - she’s friendly and well-behaved. We often go out exploring for the day and want to stop off for something to eat along the way, but we’re limited to either eating outside or going to the same few spots that allow dogs to come in.
