Car 'ran red light' and 'drove dangerously' through Avenue traffic

Thursday 11 March 2021

A car ran a red light before weaving through traffic “at speed” yesterday, Police have said in an appeal for witnesses to alleged dangerous driving on Victoria Avenue.

Officers said the silver Honda Civic, which had a different coloured bonnet, was spotted “heading westbound along Victoria Avenue when it drove at speed through a red light at the First Tower junction” around 08:00 yesterday (Wednesday 10 March).

“The car continued at speed weaving in and out of traffic and pulling closely in front of other vehicles. The driver was then stopped by police at the junction of Rue De Gallais,” they said.

The Force now wants to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has dash-cam footage, and is urging them to call 612612 or make an anonymous report via the Crimestoppers website.
