A thief smashed the door of a beachside restaurant as they entered to steal cash overnight.

The St. Brelade’s Bay premises was raided overnight between midnight on Thursday and 8:00 this morning.

“…The premises was broken into by way of smashing a door in. Some cash was taken as well,” Police said. 

They declined to name the establishment involved or state how much cash was taken.

Police are now hunting down the perpetrator, and are looking to speak with islanders with more information.

Anyone who may have “seen anything suspicious in that area” or may have more information on the incident is asked to call 612612.
