A Jersey charity is making a last minute appeal for sponsorship for a solo cycle ride which will help it give more support to Islanders diagnosed with brain tumours.
Michael Little set off this weekend on a four-day challenge to cross Wales in four days before scaling its highest mountain to raise money for the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity.
But Mike is still short of half of his £15,000 target that will enable the charity to keep on their first professional support worker.
The charity’s founder Sue May will be joining him to climb over 3,000 feet to the top of Snowdon, something which wouldn’t have been possible four years ago when she suffered a brain tumour that turned out to be benign.
Three years ago Mike did a solo bike ride from John O’Groats to Lands End to raise the initial funds needed to set up the charity which was then called the Sue May Brain Tumour Charity.
Islanders wanting to support Mike’s “Wales, bottom to top!” challenge can either make donations by cheque to “The Jersey Brain Tumour Charity” - writing “Bike Ride” on the back or via the dedicated Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/MikeSolo
