A 32-year-old charity shop worker has pleaded guilty to stealing more than £1,000 from the store over a period of five months.
Appearing before the Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, Stephen Cecil Aubin admitted taking a total of £1,134 from the Oxfam shop in New Street.
He was released on bail until 14 March to allow time for a pre-sentencing report to be compiled.
Assistant Magistrate Peter Harris, who was presiding, granted bail on condition that Aubin does not enter any Oxfam shops.
