CHARITY TREASURES: Scottish find suit your fancy?

Friday 23 August 2024

A full tartan suit – including a matching patterned tie – has been rediscovered by a charity shop lover who is using social media to spread the joy of second-hand buys.

Bargain enthusiast Fiona Walker recently set up social media pages under the name 'Upstylejersey24' to showcase interesting items found and encourage islanders to do their own digging for treasure to support good causes.

Express is partnering with her to showcase her favourite bargains each week...

This week's find was a two-piece tartan suit and matching tie which is for sale in Mind Jersey's New Street store for £25.

Fiona said: "Reach out to your inner Bay City Roller with this understated little number.

"Fortunately the suit includes a matching tie, just in case it’s not bright enough on its own!"

The suit was originally made by OPPO suits, which listed this particular design in the 'ugly Christmas suit' section.

But if you're a fan of tartan, this might be the item waiting for you before the festive season gets underway.

Their website advertises this suit for £79.95, so go grab a bargain in Mind Jersey.
