The lottery first prize looks set to smash last year’s record with the lucky winner likely to be taking home more than £1 million again this Christmas.
Ticket sales are higher than this time last year with the first prize already reaching £400,000 and with nine weeks still to go until the big draw on 17 December the jackpot is on track to beat last year’s top prize of £1,220,600.
Each ticket gives you two chances of winning a prize in the main draw and you can also win up to £5,000 with the scratch card.
The second-draw prize is £100,000, the third-draw prize is £25,000 and there are ten prizes of £1000.
Lottery ticket sales throughout last year helped raise thousands for local charities.
