Coast road closed after serious accident

Two people are currently being treated in hospital in Jersey following a collision between a motorcyclist and a female pedestrian.

It happened at 16:15 outside the Hotel Ambassadeur on the St Clement's coast road, which was closed for just over an hour, before being re-opened at 17:25.

Police are investigating exactly what happened, but say that although both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian were taken straight to the Accident and Emergency department, and are still receiving treatment, their injuries are not thought to be "life-changing."
