Hard-hit islanders are now able to claim more than £500 to help with the rising cost of living.
The 'Community Costs Bonus' is normally paid in the autumn to households with a combined tax bill of less than £2,735 and is not receiving income support, and in which one adult has lived in Jersey for at least five years.
Last year, it doubled from an annual payment of £258.25 to £516.50.
Over the weekend, Social Security Minister Elaine Millar announced that this payment would be brought forward – and that the value would remain at the higher level for another year.
"We were able to help over 4,000 households through the 2022 payment and I hope we can repeat that this year," she commented.
The process can only be completed once all members of the household have filed their 2022 tax returns and received their tax assessment.
Islanders can apply by clicking here, by calling 444444 or visiting Customer and Local Services at La Motte Street.
