Arsalan Marreakhy will be tried at the Royal Court on October 3rd on one count of facilitating the entry of an illegal entrant into Jersey, contrary to the Immigration Act.
Mr Marreakhy maintained his not guilty plea at a hearing this week, in which legal arguments were heard in front of Commissioner Julian Clyde-Smith.
Mr Marreakhy will require the use of a Sorni Kurdish translator for the trial, which has been listed for three days.
