‘Cow burglar’ strikes Jersey herd in Cornwall

A town in Cornwall has been left bam-moo-zled by the mysterious disappearance of more than 20 Jersey cows from a local farm, with Police believing the animals were stolen.

The allegedly purloined sirloin consists of more than 20 dairy cows – including several calves.

All of the purportedly stolen cows are of the island breed ‘Jersey’ known for its docile nature and creamy milk.

It’s thought that the animals went missing from Lower Bodiniel Farm in Bodmin between Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 April.

Whilst it was initially thought that the herd could have wandered off into the nearby woodland, the Devon and Cornwall Police are now treating the incident as a robbery.

The force is now appealing for more information.
