Cyclist hospitalised after crash

A cyclist was being treated in hospital this morning after being knocked down by a car on the way to work.

The accident happened just before 8 am at Sion in St John.

The driver of the car, a 51-year-old man, was spoken to by police at the scene.

He was driving a blue BMW.

The hospital have confirmed that a 41-year-old man is being treated this morning.

They have not disclosed the nature of his injuries, but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
